Our Story
Eden Herbal Medical Clinic was born in 2005 just a year after Rory and Judy Ervine joined Eden Children’s Village. After leaving their family farm, the couple was looking for areas of need at Eden and in the community. Judy, a state registered nurse and registered traditional healer, quickly became sought out for her medical expertise.
Treatment began under a tree until funds could be raised for a clinic. Starting with just one room the clinic has now expanded into two exams rooms, wound care, HIV/AIDS testing/counseling, herbal dispensary, and malnutrition program! The staff includes 23 people who serve thousands in the Doma region completely free of charge.
This is possible thanks to your financial sacrifices. Eden Herbal Medical Clinic exists to serve the children of Eden Children’s Village, the staff, and surrounding Doma area to the glory of God in Jesus’ name.

" I was so impressed with Eden during my recent visit. The children receive amazing care, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and the clinic is truly a place of healing. God is using them as a light in Zimbabwe! "

WHAT WE DO
General Health Consultation
Most of our patients come for help with basic, common maladies like flu, diharrea, small abraisions and headaches. We treat everyone indiscriminantly but require that each individual take off the traditional protective strings, beads or tokens, expressing that we treat in Jesus’ name and He doesn’t require those items be worn or trusted in. |
Wound and Burn Care
We see many individuals who have quite traummatic accidents in our rural farming context. Usually, financial limitations bring these patients to us with extensive damage and dangerous infections. By God’s grace, we have had tremendous success in treating many severe wounds and burns without losing anyone who we were able to treat. |
Health Education
So much of what assails many people in the rural context is entirely preventable through education and some basic medication. Our Clinic serves as an educational facility for our community to grow in understanding of many components of overall health, hopefully increasing the average persons ability to care for themselves and avoid illness preventantively. |
TESTIMONY
Sabora Manyara, one of our highly skilled builders, faced a perilous situation when he was attacked by a crocodile. The miraculous survival of this harrowing encounter stands as a testament to the grace of God.
While innocently fishing, Sabora was suddenly ambushed by a crocodile that leaped onto him, dragging him into the dam. Submerged underwater, the crocodile clamped onto him, attempting to suffocate him. In a twist of fate, Sabora managed to slip away, but not without the crocodile seizing his hand. A desperate struggle for survival ensued, leading to the loss of half of Sabora's arm as the crocodile rolled in the water. Against all odds, with the relentless crocodile in pursuit, Sabora miraculously escaped this perilous situation, highlighting the divine intervention that guided him through this unimaginable ordeal.
Even after this terrifying event, the struggle for Sabora's life persisted, as he began losing a significant amount of blood. He managed to call his brother, who promptly brought him to our clinic. Thanks to the swift response of our medical team, he was transported to a hospital in Harare, over 200km away, to receive treatment. Unfortunately, the treatment there proved insufficient, resulting in infection and the loss of another part of his arm. Eventually, Sabora returned to Eden Clinic, where he began a comprehensive treatment plan that led to his full recovery. This testimony, among others, serves as compelling evidence of the indispensable role Eden Clinic plays in our community.
